Antonio Bullderos Responds to Buc-ee’s Trademark Controversy — Without Realizing Bullderos Studios May Have A Problem

When asked about recent controversy surrounding Buc-ee’s aggressive protection of its trademarks, studio owner Antonio Bullderos offered his opinion.

“I understand protecting something you worked hard to build,” Antonio said. “But if you're going after every little business that looks remotely similar, that seems a little excessive.”

He paused.

“You don't have to be a bully about it.”

Reporters exchanged glances.

When asked whether Bullderos Studios had any plans to enter the convenience-store business, Antonio laughed.

“Absolutely not. Why would we do that?”

Behind him, workers were installing a large yellow-and-red sign featuring Antonio's smiling face beneath the words:

Antonio stared at the sign.

“What's... Bull-ee’s?”

Across the parking lot, Miss Tick quietly got into her car.

According to documents obtained through BFOIA, Antonio approved the project three weeks ago while eating a cinnamon roll.

He does not remember doing so.
