Miss Tick in Hot Water Yet Again After The Wrong Studio Explosion Reveals Unauthorized Marshmallow R&D Operation

BULLDEROS STUDIOS — What began as a routine special-effects assignment has resulted in the complete destruction of Studio Set B, the discovery of what executives are calling a "surprisingly sophisticated marshmallow research operation," and yet another uncomfortable meeting between Miss Tick and the Bullderos Studios accounting department.

According to studio records, Special Effects Manager Steve Sparks received a production memo early Tuesday morning with instructions to blow up a barn for an upcoming production.

Steve read the memo.

Well.

Half of it.

The first portion reportedly stated:

"Production requires complete detonation of barn set."

Steve stopped reading there.

Unfortunately, the second half contained a rather important clarification:

"USE STUDIO SET B."

Approximately 14 minutes later, witnesses reported seeing Steve calmly walking away from a barn while carrying a detonator.

Seconds later, the structure ceased being a barn.

It was an impressive explosion.

Technically flawless.

Beautifully timed.

And according to Steve, "Exactly what the memo asked for."

It was not, however, Studio Set B.

An Unexpected Discovery

The situation became considerably more complicated when debris began raining down across the backlot.

Mixed among the lumber, insulation and pieces of what had previously been a perfectly usable studio barn were approximately several thousand marshmallows.

Then came bags of specialty marshmallows.

Then flavored marshmallows.

Then experimental marshmallows.

Then several boxes marked:

MISS TICK — RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Accounting was notified immediately.

Miss Tick was also notified.

These two events occurred almost simultaneously.

Studio officials have declined to disclose the total value of the inventory, citing an ongoing internal financial review and what one employee described simply as: "Dragon reasons."

When asked why Bullderos Studios apparently possessed an entire barn filled with marshmallows, Miss Tick explained that the inventory was part of an extensive research and development initiative.

Research into what, exactly, remains unclear.

Miss Tick has requested that there be no further questions.

There will almost certainly be further questions.

Accounting Has Questions

This is not the first time Miss Tick's interpretation of "necessary business expenditures" has attracted attention.

Studio accountants are reportedly reviewing several recent purchases while attempting to determine precisely when marshmallows became a research expense.

Miss Tick maintains that every purchase was necessary.

She has not elaborated.

Antonio Bullderos was briefly informed of the situation but appeared considerably more concerned about whether any of the marshmallows were still edible.

Sources confirm several were.

Steve Sparks Responds

When informed that he had detonated the wrong barn, Steve reportedly returned to the original memo, read the remaining sentence and stared at it quietly for several seconds.

He then said:

"Wrong barn. Great explosion. We're keeping the footage, right?"

Steve has since been reminded that production memos should be read in their entirety before explosives are deployed.

The Special Effects Department has confirmed that future instructions for Steve will place critical information at the top of the page.

Preferably in large print.

Possibly highlighted.

Studio Set B remains intact and is still scheduled for destruction.

Steve has been asked not to begin until someone physically points at it.

As for Miss Tick, the investigation into her marshmallow Research & Development division continues.

No disciplinary action has been announced.

Mostly because nobody has figured out what she was researching yet.

Miss Tick has again requested no further questions.
